Something has moved into Rosswood Trails, or so the rumor goes. The animals are growing bolder, the plants encroaching closer over trails normally easy to traverse. Hikers get turned around on clearly marked trails, and are found by rangers well after the trails closed but insist they'd only been out for a few hours. There hasn't been anyone hurt or gone missing yet, but it's only a matter of time.

All of that hadn't really bothered Tanyuu, however. Her main concern was that her new all-terrain chair had finally arrived (to the right address, with the correct accessories included, and not charged a second fucking time--) and she could actually check the area out for herself. So she and Lucy packed up and headed out for a day-long hike, ready to be sunburned like she rarely ever had the chance to be. For the first half of the day nothing was unusual; there was some excitement from spotting a few early migrating birds, but otherwise a wonderfully relaxing day. But after lunch and starting on a trail heading back, things got...weird.

For one, while Tanyuu was certain they'd followed the right signs the surrounding woods were looking less and less familiar. Not that she had ever been out here before, of course, but something was...off. The leaves were excessively green for the time of year, the scent of flowers on the air almost too sweet. The turns of the trail were matching the map they had less and less, but the path hadn't branched at all--there was no way they could have gotten lost already--right?
