Character Name: Karibusa Tanyuu
Canon: Mushishi
Canon Point: Post-canon
Age: 24

Personality: For someone that grew up trapped by family legacy and a painful cursed leg, Tanyuu is surprisingly well-adjusted. Among people she knows and trusts she is cheerful and teasing, often making light of minor troubles to ease the mood and always pushing at the edges of her cage to experience just a bit more of the world. She does, however, take her assigned duties very seriously and puts every effort into assisting those she can with the knowledge her clan has amassed over the years.

With those she is not familiar, though, Tanyuu is much more reserved. A lifetime of being forced to listen to pompous and arrogant mushishi that do not hold the same respect for 'lesser' life she does has led her to be quick to judge poor character, and a negative impression is hard to shake from her. She is rarely confrontational, however, though much of that hangs on the fact that in those circumstances she holds little power to actually affect anything meaningful.

Overall, Tanyuu is a pragmatic but hopeful woman who wishes desperately to see more of the world with her own eyes, but has for most of her life been forced to settle for the stories visitors bring to her. It speaks much to her strength of spirit and the support of those she loves that the vibrant spark inside her has remained so strong.

Dragon Bond Suggestion: Black or silver would both be really good tbh! Though I personally would love black...bog witch aesthetic...
Dragon Bond Changes: I definitely would like for some aspect of her personality to be amplified, be it her quiet petty streak or her open compassion. There's a lot of room to push her into a bunch of fun archetypes, and leaning into her existing connections to life/death as a thematic through-line would be super if there's room for that!

Game Plan: Having an incredibly powerful being in her head will be...disturbing! Especially as it's sentient and the only stuff she's ever researched that comes even close is very much uhhhhhhhhh. Not? Even mountain gods and the natural order are of questionable self-awareness. But this is also the chance to see something other than her house-slash-library that she's always wanted, and she's not going to resist that over some supernatural bullshit having plots for her.
